Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to stay?
Weekday rates start from £70/night, weekend rates from £95/night. A one-off cleaning fee of £110 applies per stay, and there’s a £20/night charge for a 4th guest onwards. Staying a week or longer? You’ll get 10% off, and monthly stays get 30% off.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes — Maximum of two and no extra charge for well-behaved dogs. We just ask that they stay off the furniture and beds. If a pet leaves the property dirty, smelly, or furry, an extra cleaning charge will apply — the same standard we’d expect of any guest.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00pm, with a flexible end time so you’re not rushed on arrival. Check-out is by 10:00am. Entry is via a key safe, so you can let yourself in whenever suits your journey — genuinely useful if your Scilly ferry has you arriving late or leaving early.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Bookings made directly with us or through most platforms follow a Moderate cancellation policy — a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before arrival (5 days if booked via Airbnb). Please check the exact terms shown at the time of booking.
Is Bryntin suitable for children?
Yes — suitable for children aged 2 to 12, and for infants under 2 too.
Are parties or smoking allowed?
No — Bryntin is a smoke-free property and we don’t allow parties or events, to keep things peaceful for you and for other guests and residents on site. Quiet hours run from 10:00pm to 8:00am.
Who owns Bryntin?
Bryntin is owned by Chris, a British Army veteran who was born and lived most of his life in Penzance and West Cornwall. He splits his time between working around the UK and abroad and living at Bryntin with his dog for the rest of the year. Chris has been sailing most of his life and likes to sail around Mounts Bay and to The Scillies if and when time permits.
